2024 Fantasy Outlook
Reddick was traded to the Jets after posting 27.0 sacks over the last two seasons with the Eagles. The 29-year-old edge preceded that strong stretch with a 12.5-sack season for the Cardinals in 2020 and had 11.0 sacks with the Panthers in 2021, so Reddick's unlikely to be fazed by the change of scenery. With Quinnen Williams demanding double teams on the interior and New York's stout secondary preventing receivers from running open, Reddick's in prime position to find success rushing the passer as he looks to extend his streak of seasons with double-digit sack totals to five. Contract Dispute

Reddick, who continues to hold out from the Jets in pursuit of a multi-year contract, previously declined a reworked one-year deal earlier in the season, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
After the Jets acquired him from the Eagles in March, Reddick was scheduled to earn $14.25 million in 2024, the final season of a three-year, $45 million deal he signed in March 2022. However, Reddick has remained away from the team since minicamp while seeking a multi-year pact that would make him one of the league's highest-paid pass rushers, and the Jets have thus far only offered him a reworked deal that would increase his salary for 2024 but not give him any guarantees beyond this season. Even though he continues to forfeit millions in salary with his continued holdout, Reddick hasn't shown any signs of budging from his stance. He will have to report to the Jets by Week 13 to receive an accrued season and become a free agent next March. If he ops not to report by Week 13, his $14.25 million contract will toll over to 2025, and he'll find himself in a similar situation next season.

Reddick, a Temple product, got the chance to play for his hometown Eagles last season and found immediate success. His career-high 16 sacks tied him with the Browns' Myles Garrett for second in the NFL and earned him his first Pro-Bowl appearance. Reddick's five forced fumbles tied for the league lead, while his three fumble recoveries tied for third among all defensive players. He remains an excellent bet to be among the league's sack leaders heading into his second year in Philadelphia, as he'll continue to star for a defense that should have plenty of leads to protect and thus plenty of chances to rush the quarterback.
Looking to add pressure off the edge, the Eagles signed Reddick to a three-year, $45 million contract in March. Reddick spent the first four seasons of his career with the Cardinals but joined the Panthers in 2021 and appeared in 16 games. In that span, he 27-year-old logged 68 tackles (37 solo), 11 sacks, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. After having racked up 23.5 sacks over his last two campaigns, Reddick will once again look to hit double-digits in that category in his new locale, and if he can stay healthy, the 2017 first-rounder will remain on the fantasy radar.
A 2017 first-round pick, Reddick finally broke out last season, registering 63 tackles, 12.5 sacks and six forced fumbles in 16 games for the Cardinals. When the Panthers came calling with a one-year, $8 million contract, he took it, reuniting him with his college coach (Matt Rhule) and coordinator (Phil Snow) in the process. Given that familiarity, Reddick should be able to adjust well to Carolina's scheme, in which he figures to start opposite Brian Burns at defensive end. As he seeks another payday next offseason, Reddick will attempt to pick up where he left off in 2020, despite the change of scenery
Reddick's exact nature remains unclear after two mixed seasons in Arizona, but the former 13th overall pick has various promising indicators in his profile despite the uneven trajectory to this point. He fell out of favor with coach Steve Wilks last year, but given those results there's no reason to take his judgment as gospel. What we do know about Reddick is he's hyper-athletic and a standout pass rusher, if nothing else, and those traits should play just fine in Vance Joseph's 3-4 alignment. With 6.5 sacks on his first 1,230 NFL snaps, Reddick offers IDP upside at a minimal cost on a defense that could lead the NFL in snap count as the Air Raid offense runs up the tempo on the other side.
Among the potential breakout IDP candidates at linebacker this year, Reddick ranks high on the list. The 2017 first-round pick out of Temple is highly athletic and has a varied skill set, posing an uncommon blitzing threat on the edge with the ability to otherwise handle more traditional off-ball tasks at a high level. With just 36 tackles on 445 snaps last year, Reddick is likely to be overlooked in plenty of drafts, but the talent is there and he should thrive in new coach Steve Wilks' Ron Rivera-style defense.
Selected 13th overall by the Cardinals in April, Reddick will be seeking to buck the trend of recent first-rounders in the Arizona desert. Notably, the team's last two picks (OT D.J. Humphries and DT Robert Nkemdiche) combined for five appearances as rookies. At first glance, Reddick could be in line for a similar fate, as he'll kick of the season as a reserve to starting inside linebackers Karlos Dansby and Deone Bucannon. Helping Reddick's case for snaps is his ability as a pass rusher. During his last year at Temple, he provided 10.5 sacks and 22.5 tackles for loss, which will complement sack artists Chandler Jones and Markus Golden nicely in nickel formations. No matter the roles he's handed, Reddick will certainly be groomed as a future centerpiece of the Cardinals' front seven.

ANALYSIS
Reddick has held out since being traded to the Jets during the offseason, and he has re-entered the news after hiring Drew Rosenhause as his new agent. There was some optimism Monday that his switch in representation could facilitate a contract with the Jets, but Tuesday's news struck a different tone. Owner Woody Johnson also expressed ongoing hope that Rosenhaus will convince Reddick to report, leaving Reddick's future in the NFL as uncertain as ever.
