George Atkinson

Atkinson played in every game for the Browns in 2016 but did not record a rushing attempt until Week 17. Once given the reigns, the 24-year-old rushed for 34 yards and one touchdown on seven attempts against a tough Steelers defense. He could see an expanded role in the offense this season, but it appears more likely that he'll continue to sharpen his skills on special teams, with Isaiah Crowell and Duke Johnson locking down reps in the backfield.

Atkinson is yet to record a rushing attempt in the NFL, and that might not change in 2016. He spent the preseason in Oakland where Latavius Murray is solidified as the Raiders' starting running back, and Taiwan Jones and rookie DeAndre Washington are both competent backups in themselves. Subsequently, Atkinson didn't make the Raiders 53-man cut resulting in the Browns' decision to pick him up. He'll likely be the No. 4 option out of the backfield, while Isaiah Crowell, Duke Johnson, and Terrell Watson lead the way.

As an undrafted rookie out of Notre Dame, Atkinson played in five games with the Raiders at the end of last season, albeit exclusively on special teams. He returned seven kickoffs for 134 yards, with a long of 28 yards, and added a tackle.
