2024 Fantasy Outlook
Johnson's 2021 campaign remains the high-water mark of his career so far, and he's had fewer carries in his other four seasons combined. In his first year outside of Cleveland, his efficiency also took a major step backward, creating some doubt whether he can be effective outside of Kevin Stefanski's scheme. Johnson runs with some power and doesn't go down easily, but a lack of speed, vision and elusiveness means that defenders have little trouble getting to him. He'll compete with Tank Bigsby for backup snaps behind Travis Etienne in the Jaguars' backfield. Read Past Outlooks
RANKS
Small role in Week 18
Johnson carried two times for 26 yards and caught one of two targets for zero yards during the Jaguars' Week 18 loss to the Colts.
ANALYSIS
The 28-year-old received his first carries since Week 11 but played just 12 offensive snaps in the season finale. Johnson finished the season with 32 carries for 143 yards and 12 receptions for 96 yards in 14 contests. He's set to hit free agency during the offseason, and there will likely be limited openings in Jacksonville since Travis Etienne, Tank Bigsby and Keilan Robinson are all under contract for 2025.

Johnson joined Jacksonville on a one-year deal in March but may have a difficult time earning a spot on the season-opening roster. The 27-year-old totaled 671 scrimmage yards and three scores for the Browns during the 2021 campaign, but he received just seven offensive touches last season while primarily playing special teams. Travis Etienne is locked in as the starter with third-round rookie Tank Bigsby also guaranteed a roster spot, leaving Johnson to battle it out for slotting with JaMycal Hasty, Snoop Conner and Quadree Ollison.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Jags' RB2 for Week 11
Johnson will be the primary backup to Travis Etienne for Sunday's game against the Lions due to Tank Bigsby being ruled out with an ankle injury.
ANALYSIS
Johnson operated as the Jaguars' No. 2 running back behind Bigsby earlier in the regular season after Etienne injured his hamstring in Week 6 against the Bears. From Weeks 6 to 8, Johnson accumulated 16 carries for 69 yards and added six catches on eight targets for 68 yards. He played just four snaps on offense in Week 10 against the Vikings, but with Bigsby out Sunday, Johnson should see his workload increase while spelling Etienne.
