The Bengals released Glenn on Friday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Cincinnati attempted to drum up trade interest for Glenn earlier this month, but the team has now opted to release him in order to save $9.5 million against the salary cap. After missing the first 11 games of the 2019 campaign due to a concussion, Glenn is now back to full health and will test his market as a free agent.

The Bengals' offensive line was among the worst, if not the worst in the NFL last season, and their problems were particularly acute at left tackle with Cedric Ogbuehi, who allowed eight sacks alone. Into the breach steps Glenn, a mountain of a man who specializes in pass blocking. Unfortunately, he also has a history of foot injuries, having missed 15 games over the last two seasons with the Bills. His ability to stay on the field will be one of the big keys for Andy Dalton and A.J. Green to have productive seasons.
Glenn is a stalwart of the Bills' offensive line with 45 starts in 45 games over his three year career. He is a key to the production of LeSean McCoy and the Bills' offense.
A strong left tackle, Glenn does a good job in all aspects of the game. He may not be considered elite, but he is universally regarded as well above average in run blocking and improving in pass protection as well.
An early 2nd round pick in 2012, Glenn went right to work as the Bills' starting left tackle last year. The addition of new head coach and offensive line guru Doug Marrone should help Glenn continue to develop in his second season.
Glenn was the Bills' second-round draft pick in 2012. He'll have a chance to start as a rookie at left tackle, though he's probably slightly behind Chris Hairston. This will be one of the team's better training camp battles.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Tries out in Philadelphia
OTFree Agent
September 4, 2020
The Eagles hosted Glenn for a tryout Friday, Albert Breer of TheMMQB.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The Eagles need to patch up their offensive line after injuries to Andre Dillard (biceps) and Brandon Brooks (Achilles), and Glenn could be an option to replace Dillard at left tackle. Of course, this could be viewed as leverage since the Eagles are trying to move Jason Peters to left tackle, although Peters wants a pay raise to do so. Glenn is sturdy in his own right, though, as he has started 95 games since 2012.
