ANALYSIS
Henderson signed with the Redskins just over a week ago and is now back on the market. The third-round pick from 2017 has been a disappointment in his first two seasons, failing to see the field in a regular-season game. He'll look to catch on with another club in 2019.

Past Fantasy Outlooks

2017
Henderson missed his entire rookie season to a thumb injury after being drafted in the third round out of Louisiana Tech, a team with coach Vance Joseph's brother, Mickey, on staff. Denver's double-dipping at the wideout position in the 2018 draft makes Henderson seem like a distant memory, but the shifty target led the NCAA with 19 receiving touchdowns in 2016 and, per Pro Football Focus, while forcing 48 missed tackles, 22 more than any other receiver. That's too much production to cast aside. Henderson reportedly struggled in adjusting to the pro game even before his injury, but he should be a potential fourth or fifth receiver with kick-returner ability this season before potentially helping form the core of the Broncos receiving corps in 2019.
The Broncos had quality intel on Henderson before drafting him in the third round out of Louisiana Tech. Head coach Vance Joseph's brother, Mickey, was on the Bulldogs' staff last season. Henderson might be labeled a one-year wonder, but what a year it was in Louisiana Tech's wide-open attack. Henderson tied for the national lead with 19 receiving touchdowns, was fifth in receiving yards with 1,535, and 20th in catches with 82. He also had two rushing touchdowns and two kick-return scores in 2016. Most impressively, Henderson broke 48 tackles in 2016, according to Pro Football Focus. The next best receiver broke 26 tackles. Henderson is a receiver in a running back's body in the mold of Golden Tate, but, given his limited route-running experience, he'll probably be most effective on hitches and screens as a rookie. That's probably okay as far as the Broncos are concerned. With Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders on the roster, Denver can probably do well with Henderson using his 4.46-second speed in the 40-yard dash and ability in the open field to turn quick-hitters and kickoffs into explosive plays.
