2024 Fantasy Outlook
Jordan is a stalwart of the Saints defense with 13 seasons under his belt. However, the 34-year-old logged just two sacks last year, marking the first time he's had fewer than 7.5 sacks since his rookie campaign. He also dealt with an ankle issue that limited his playing time down the stretch. New Orleans severely lacked pressure off the edge in 2023 with just 34 sacks as a team, so it added 2020 No. 2 overall draft pick Chase Young this offseason. Still, Jordan's experience and leadership should ensure he has a prominent role even if his snaps continue tailing off this season. Read Past Outlooks
Healthy after ankle surgery
Jordan (ankle) participated in Thursday's training camp session without any apparent limitations, John Hendrix of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Jordan said that after injuring his ankle versus the Falcons in Week 13 last season he didn't feel himself, despite the fact that he didn't miss any time. Now fully healthy, the 35-year-old looks set to reprise a starting role up front for New Orleans, though considering Jordan's age and the addition of 2020 No. 2 overall draft pick Chase Young, the team could opt to approach the defensive end position as more of a rotation.

Jordan has been the heart and soul of New Orleans' defense ever since the beginning of this unit's turnaround in 2017. The 12-year veteran has tallied double-digit sacks in four of the last six seasons, and he just missed the first two games of his career over the past two regular seasons. After securing an 8.5-sack season in 2022, along with a new two-year, $27.5 million extension this offseason, Jordan will continue serving as the Saints' top pass rusher in 2023.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Unlikely to be dealt
Jordan could be the subject of trade inquiries before the November 5 deadline, but he's unlikely to be moved, Albert Breer of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The veteran edge rusher has spent his entire 14-year NFL career in New Orleans, and while the team's season has gone off the rails due to injuries, the front office would likely have to be blown away by an offer to consider trading him. Jordan also may not have much left to offer a contending team. After managing just 2.0 sacks over 17 regular-season games in 2023, he's failed to record one at all over seven games this season.
