2024 Fantasy Outlook
Bresee led the Saints' defensive tackles with 4.5 sacks during his 2023 rookie season despite never starting a game across 17 regular-season contests. The first-round pick will likely once again push for a signficant snap share while rotating snaps with starters Nathan Shepherd and Khalen Saunders. Read Past Outlooks
Continued growth in 2024
Bresee collected 25 tackles (17 solo), including 7.5 sacks, three pass breakups and a forced fumble across 17 regular-season appearances for the Saints in 2024.
ANALYSIS
Bresee's overall production doesn't jump off the page, as he logged just one more tackle than he did during his rookie 2023 season. But, he led the team in sacks and played the most defensive snaps (667) of any defensive tackle for New Orleans. The highlight of his season came in the Week 14 win versus the Giants, when he blocked a 35-yard field-goal attempt that would have tied the game late in the fourth quarter. Bresee should come into the 2025 campaign as one of the leaders for New Orleans' defensive line and pass rush.

2023 Fantasy Outlook
Bresee showed stretches of dominance while starting as a true freshman at Clemson in 2020. However, his status as a potential top-10 pick slipped away as he struggled to perform at a consistent level over his final two collegiate campaigns. Standing at 6-6, 298 pounds, the 29th overall pick in this year's draft should be able to contribute as a unique, powerful athlete at multiple spots on the Saints defensive line, which doesn't return any proven playmakers from last season outside of Cameron Jordan.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Pushing for starting role
Jeff Duncan of NOLA.com expects Bresee to earn a starting role by the beginning of the regular season.
ANALYSIS
The proverbial light bulb seems to have turned on for the rookie first-round pick in recent practices, as Bresee has started to consistently generate interior pressure and disrupt plays. Nathan Shepherd and Khalen Saunders are the Saints' nominal starters at defensive tackle heading into preseason play, but Duncan believes Bresee will displace one of them as a starter by the time the games start to count.
