Brett Hundley

A fifth-round pick of the Packers in 2015, Hundley worked his way up the depth chart to serve as Aaron Rodgers' backup the ensuing two seasons. When Rodgers broke his collarbone in the first half of the 2017 campaign, Hundley got his chance to shine, but the results weren't pretty. Working as the starter for most of remaining slate, Hundley didn't surpass 300 yards once while recording 1,836 yards and 9:12 TD:INT on 61 percent passing in 11 games. The performance wasn't impressive enough for the Packers to stick with him beyond last preseason, and he spent 2018 as Russell Wilson's primary backup in Seattle. Hundley will hold a similar position in Arizona this season behind 2019 No. 1 overall pick Kyler Murray.

Hundley got a chance to show what he could do last year after Aaron Rodgers was injured in Week 6, and, well, he did not show a lot. Hundley had some moments - he and the Packers just missed a road victory over the Steelers in Week 12 and won the next two games in overtime - but when it was all said and done, the Packers went just 3-6 in games Hundley started, and he finished the year with an unsightly 9:12 TD:INT. Hundley competed for the Packers' backup quarterback job during training camp with DeShone Kizer, but Green Bay elected to go with Kizer and trade Hundley to Seattle, and Hundley will open as the No. 2 QB behind Russell Wilson.

Hundley has only appeared in four regular season games since being selected in the fifth round of the 2015 draft, which is hardly an issue for Packers fans and fantasy players who have owned Aaron Rodgers the last two seasons. His path to the starting job is clearly blocked in Green Bay, but Hundley is an intriguing prospect who could be an attractive option to a team looking for quarterback help for next year and beyond. He is the clear favorite to remain Rodgers' backup in 2017, though he could be pushed by fellow reserve Joe Callahan.

Hundley is head coach Mike McCarthy's secret project. The 6-foot-3, 226-pound physical specimen fell to the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft, and the Packers pounced on the high-upside prospect from UCLA. He didn't utter a single cadence in 2015 while serving as the third-string quarterback, but with a year of McCarthy's tutelage now under his belt, and incumbent backup Scott Tolzien elsewhere, Hundley enters 2016 as Green Bay's top reserve behind starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Hundley is perhaps the greatest unknown of the rookie quarterbacks. He completed 67.6 percent of his passes with 8.04 YPA and a 75:25 TD:INT ratio during his three years at UCLA, plus he has the size (6-3, 227) and athleticism (4.63 40, 10-foot broad jump, 36-inch vertical leap) to be a dual-threat quarterback (30 rushing touchdowns) as his elusiveness makes him a nightmare for defenses once he breaks the pocket. But while Hundley has the arm to push the ball downfield and outside the hashes, he struggles with accuracy and ball placement on deep throws, resulting in passes that repeatedly sail high. His instincts in the pocket are an even greater concern, as he tends to hold the ball too long and often locks onto his primary receiver rather than working through progressions. Playing behind Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay is the perfect situation for a high-ceiling, developmental QB like Hundley.
