Lynch signed with the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the CFL on June 28, Justin Dunk of 3DownNation.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Lynch failed to secure a spot on the Steelers' roster during camp in 2020, and he didn't earn another opportunity after that. It's not yet clear whether the 2016 first-rounder will return to the NFL at some point after he totaled 792 passing yards with four touchdowns and four interceptions across five games with the Broncos in 2016 and 2017.

The Broncos cut their 2016 first-round pick (26th overall) before the 2018 season started after just two years and four starts with the team. After working out with a couple other teams, the Seahawks signed Lynch this offseason to compete for a backup job behind Russell Wilson. Lynch showed promise in the preseason, but he suffered a head injury with an unknown timeline. It appears to be a coin flip between him and Geno Smith to be Wilson's backup, but even if Lynch makes the 53-man roster it's unlikely he'll see much field since Wilson hasn't missed a game in his seven-year career.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Believes he didn't get fair shake
Lynch doesn't think he got a fair opportunity from Broncos president John Elway, according to Ed Bouchette of The Athletic.
ANALYSIS
Lynch got only four starts in two years after being selected in the first round of the 2016 draft before the Broncos proceeded to release him. Now the backup in Pittsburgh, Lynch is waiting for an opportunity to prove Elway wrong, though his play in limited NFL action has been underwhelming.
