ANALYSIS
The Dolphins declined to tender Carroo a contract for 2019, and he ended up receiving the four-game ban in June. The 2016 third-round pick had 12 receptions for 192 yards and two touchdowns during his three seasons (37 games) in Miami.

Past Fantasy Outlooks

2016
Miami traded up to take Carroo in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft, and thus far the 24-year-old has done little to justify the selection. With a minor knee surgery preventing him from participating in OTAs, Carroo figures to spend training camp behind DeVante Parker, Kenny Stills, Albert Wilson, and Danny Amendola. Given that Carroo will need to compete to even remain on the roster, it's hard to imagine a scenario in which he achieves fantasy relevance in 2018.
The Dolphins traded up during the 2016 NFL Draft to grab Carroo, but he was unable to receive regular reps due to the presence of Jarvis Landry, DeVante Parker and Kenny Stills. By season's end, Carroo was even surpassed on the depth chart by rookies Rashawn Scott and Jakeem Grant, earning inactive status for the team's final three games (including playoffs). With Stills back in the fold and Isaiah Ford joining the corps as a 2017 seventh-round pick, Carroo will have his work cut out for him in his first full offseason program.
Carroo was the Dolphins' third round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. With Jarvis Landry and DeVante Parker solidified as the top two receivers for Miami, Carroo will have a tough time making an impact in his rookie season. Despite some off-field issues at Rutgers, Carroo was highly productive when on the field in college. The bottom line is Carroo has the talent to produce in the NFL, but may need an injury to get that opportunity next season with Miami.
