Good to go
September 9, 2021
Hayden (foot) will be available out of the backfield for Illinois on Saturday, Jeremy Werner of 247Sports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Hayden was spotted in a walking boot prior to Saturday's game versus UTSA and sat out the contest. Fortunately, it appears the issue was relatively minor, so the junior should be part of the backfield mix his week for Illinois. He could also be in line for a few added carries with Mike Epstein (undisclosed) set to miss the contest.

2018 Fantasy Outlook
Hayden came from virtual anonymity as a freshman to quickly looking like the running back of the foreseeable future for the Hogs. He rushed for 246 yards and four touchdowns in the first four games of the season in 2017. He slowed down a bit as the competition stiffened, though, and then a broken leg ended his freshman year prematurely. Hayden is supposedly healthy now, and averaged 5.3 yards per tote during that freshman season. He will vie with Devwah Whaley and T.J. Hammonds for touches out of the backfield, but it would not be surprising if he eventually carried the majority of the rushing load.
