2024 Tournament PreviewIt took a buzzer beater in the Ivy League tournament final, but Yale is dancing for the second time in three seasons. The Bulldogs play through 7-0 sophomore Danny Wolf (14.5 ppg, 9.7 rpg, 1.3 bpg), who's had a breakout season after being a depth option as a freshman. With 15 double-doubles, Wolf is a big part of why Yale ranks top-15 nationally in defensive rebounding rate. All five starters average double figures, and an upperclassmen backcourt of Bez Mbeng (11.5 ppg, 4.2 apg) and August Mahoney (10.2 ppg) protects the ball and helps the Bulldogs rank top-20 in offensive turnover rate. Mahoney shoots 45.0 percent from 3-point range while 6-6 junior John Poulakidas (12.9 ppg) hits at 39.0 percent. Yale came up short in all three of its Quad 1 opportunities but is 3-2 in Quad 2 games, so the Bulldogs have at least seen tournament-caliber teams.
