Sandro Mamukelashvili

Co-Big East POY
FSeton Hall
March 10, 2021
Mamukelashvili was one of three players named 2020-21 Big East Player of the Year on Wednesday, joining Collin Gillespie and Jeremiah Robinson-Earl of Villanova.
ANALYSIS
Yes, you read that right. It's the first time in conference history that after tallying all the coach votes, a three-way tie for this award was the result. Mamukelashvili is certainly deserving of this honor, as the senior is coming off a season with career highs in scoring (17.8 ppg), assists (3.1 apg), steals (1.1 spg) and minutes played (35.0 mpg). He also has the Pirates in position for a NCAA Tournament bid, though multiple wins in the Big East Tournament may be necessary for that to become a reality.
