After averaging double figures for three years at South Dakota State to begin his collegiate career, Freidel took a step back offensively last season with James Madison, posting a career-low 8.7 ppg, due largely to being on a superior squad with a more balanced offensive attack. While that's the case again this season, Freidel has upped his scoring to 11.5 ppg on the back if his best scoring total in two years with the program. It just proves this year's ranked James Madison squad has multiple ways it can beat you, but Wednesday's Cancun Challenge-Riviera Bracket title game was more than just a win. It was a thorough dismantling of a Fresno State squad that simply appeared overmatched.
