Returns to Quinnipiac
Marfo verbally committed to Quinnipiac on Thursday, joining the program as a graduate transfer from Texas A&M, All Facts Media reports.
ANALYSIS
After a one-year stint in College Station, Marfo will return to the program where he spent the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons as he plays out his sixth and final year of eligibility in 2021-22. Marfo was regarded as one of the top centers in the transfer portal last offseason, but he wasn't able to find much success against the higher-level competition in the SEC, finishing his lone season at Texas A&M with averages of 2.6 points and 3.7 rebounds in 12.6 minutes per game over 17 outings (eight starts). Expect him to handle a full-time starting role for Quinnipiac in 2021-22 after he averaged a double-double (10.2 points, 13.3 rebounds in 28.1 minutes) as a redshirt junior at the school in 2019-20.
