Physically ill during game
Toppin was physically ill during Texas Tech's win Tuesday at Kansas State, according to Nathan Giese of the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal.

"Just being blunt, JT Toppin is not feeling great, not doing good today (Tuesday), and he wasn't feeling [it] in the Iowa State game in the second half either. He tried to gut it out and play (at Kansas State), but he wasn't 100 percent," Texas Tech's head coach Grant McCasland announced less than several hours after TTU defeated Kansas State. Toppin physically ill Tuesday indicates why he did not play the Tech-KSU game's last minutes.
