Moves on from Oregon
Omoruyi announced March 31 via his personal Instagram account that he wouldn't return to Oregon for a sixth year in eligibility in 2021-22 and would instead pursue professional opportunities.
ANALYSIS
Omoruyi turned 24 in February and submitted a spectacular season for Oregon as a redshirt senior in 2020-21, so his decision to leave Eugene comes as little surprise. The 6-foot-6 big man averaged 17.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.5 three-pointers and 1.5 steals this past season, his lone active campaign with the Ducks after he sat out in 2019-20 following his transfer from Rutgers.
