Leaving college for pro ranks
Bediako announced Monday that he will forgo his remaining eligibility at Alabama and stay in the 2023 NBA Draft, Jeff Borzello and Jonathan Givony of ESPN.com report.
ANALYSIS
As a sophomore in 2022-23, Bediako started in all 37 of his appearances with the Crimson Tide, averaging 6.4 points on 65.9 percent shooting from the field to go with 6.0 rebounds and 1.8 blocks in 20.8 minutes per contest. Though the seven-foot center might have been in line for an expanded role had he stuck around at Alabama in 2023-24, he'll instead make the leap to the professional ranks.
