Set to enter draft
Stanley announced Tuesday via his personal Twitter account that he'll enter the 2020 NBA Draft.
ANALYSIS
Stanley will have until June 3 to either keep his name in the draft or return to Duke for his sophomore season, but the prevailing thought is that the 6-foot-6 wing will turn pro after earning all-ACC freshman team honors during his first year in Durham. While he only averaged 12.6 points per game while serving as a third scoring option for Duke, Stanley showcased some eye-popping athleticism, most notably finishing with 32 dunks on the season. The expected departures of both Stanley and sophomore Tre Jones likely leaves incoming recruits Jeremy Roach and DJ Steward as the leading candidates to claim the starting backcourt jobs in 2020-21.
