Jones announced Saturday that he'll forgo his final two seasons at Duke and enter the 2020 NBA Draft, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Given that Jones had a reasonable case to leave Duke for the NBA following his freshman year, it's no real surprise that he'll enter the professional ranks after raising his production across the board as a sophomore. With Zion Williamson, RJ Barrett and Cam Reddish leaving following the 2018-19 season, Jones took on a higher-usage role for Duke this past campaign, averaging 16.4 points, 6.4 assists, 4.2 boards, 1.8 steals and 1.3 three-pointers in 35.4 minutes. Jonathan Givony of ESPN.com projects Jones to be a first-round selection in the draft.
