Wallace announced Saturday that he will forgo his remaining eligibility at Kentucky to enter the 2023 NBA Draft, Jonathan Givony of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Wallace dabbled between both backcourt spots during his lone season at Kentucky, seeing more time on the ball in the latter portion of the campaign while point guard Sahvir Wheeler (ankle) was sidelined. Altogether, Wallace appeared in 32 games and averaged 11.7 points, 4.3 assists, 3.7 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 1.4 three-pointers over 32.0 minutes per contest. With Wallace on his way to the professional ranks and with Wheeler entering the transfer portal, Kentucky is expected to turn over the backcourt to incoming five-star recruits D.J. Wagner and Robert Dillingham.
