Maxwell said Thursday that he will leave Detroit as a graduate transfer ahead of the 2020-21 season, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Maxwell will be moving on from his second Division I stop after he joined Detroit last summer following three seasons at Abilene Christian. He redshirted during his lone season at Detroit, so Maxwell will be able to compete right away with one year of eligibility remaining at his next stop. During his final year at Abilene Christian, Maxwell started in 19 of his 24 appearances and averaged 9.2 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.4 treys and 1.1 steals in 26.8 minutes per contest.
