ANALYSIS
The decision was fully expected after Michigan State was upset in the Round of 32 by Syracuse on March 18. Bridges' two-year career in East Lansing ended with a dud, as he shot just 4-for-18 from the field in the upset loss, but it won't ding what was an otherwise exceptional sophomore season. The forward averaged 17.1 points (on 45.7 percent shooting from the field), 7.0 rebounds. 2.7 assists and 2.1 three-pointers per game, leaving the Spartans with a major void to fill on the wing. Incoming juniors Cassius Winston, Nick Ward and Joshua Langford will be largely tasked with picking up the scoring slack in the wake of Bridges' departure, as will Jaren Jackson in the event he opts to return to Michigan State for his sophomore season.
