The Texans hope Arian Foster (calf) will return from the PUP list by the middle of the week. At this point, the injury doesn't seem to be a long-term concern, but keep in mind Foster averaged a career-low 4.1 YPC last year and racked up 405 carries (including the playoffs).
Le'Veon Bell took the field with the first team offense for four of its five snaps in team drills, carrying the ball three times. Bell is the favorite to be the team's primary back, though Jonathan Dwyer and Isaac Redman are also in the mix.
Jacoby Ford is "a little nicked up" but should return to practice soon. Ford is a playmaker as a runner, receiver and kick returner whenever he's healthy - which is rare. If he manages to stay on the field, he could start opposite Denarius Moore or in the slot.
Ryan Williams will seek a second opinion on his knee, which was scoped back in January, after it flared up Sunday. While the upcoming MRI is characterized as precautionary, that Williams is having any problems so early in camp is a bad sign. Rookie Stepfan Taylor could emerge as the No. 2 back behind Rashard Mendenhall if Williams has a setback.
Hakeem Nicks (groin) returned to team drills Monday. This wasn't a serious issue, but it would be nice to see Nicks get through an extended stretch even in the preseason without having to miss time.
Arrelious Benn (knee) did not practice Monday. A former second-round pick with size and speed, Benn has a real chance to make an impact with Jeremy Maclin out for the year, but Benn needs to prove he can stay healthy and beat out Riley Cooper (among others) for the starting job.
Mike Williams (TB) appeared hobbled by an unspecified issue as he walked off the practice field Monday. This could be nothing, but it's worth keeping an eye on until we know more. Williams just signed a six-year, $40 million extension with the Bucs.
Joseph Morgan apparently has one of the Saints' top-three WR slots locked up. This means he's the No. 3 as he's not going to surpass Marques Colston or Lance Moore. While being a significant factor in Drew Brees' offense makes him worth watching, it's less glamorous than it sounds with TE Jimmy Graham getting targeted like a No. 1 WR and two of the team's backs (Darren Sproles and Pierre Thomas) combining for 157 targets.
