Da Silva spent four years at Colorado and finished his senior year with averages of 16.0 points, 5.1 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.9 triples, 1.1 steals and 1.8 turnovers per game on 49.3 percent shooting from the floor and 83.5 percent from the free throw line. The former Colorado standout lands into a decent situation, as the Magic have been able to develop young players in the past, but that doesn't mean da Silva will be trusted into a role in the rotation right away. With the Magic being a playoff contender in the Eastern Conference, Da Silva isn't expected to see steady minutes at either forward spot, and it wouldn't be surprising if he starts the season in the G League to get regular playing time as he continues to adjust to the NBA level. Based on this scenario, fantasy managers shouldn't consider drafting Da Silva in standard or deeper drafts. He might have some upside in dynasty formats, but even that's debatable considering the lack of minutes he'll probably have as a rookie. Read Past Outlooks

Personal Bio/PreCareer Summary
Born in Munich, Germany, da Silva has basketball roots with his brother currently playing professionally for Barcelona. A back-to-back All-Pac-12 team inclusion, da Silva fueled Colorado to its first NCAA Tournament appearance since the 2020-21 season with averages of 16.0 points, 5.1 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.7 steals plus blocks on 49.3/39.5/83.5% shooting. da Silva solidified his status as a bona fide, multi-level scoring weapon in 2023-24, finishing in the 76th percentile by converting 63.5% of his shots at the rim, ranking in the 82nd percentile by knocking down 46.7% of his shots in the midrange, and canning 48.4% of his unguarded catch-and-shoot 3-point attempts. That being said, da Silva shooting just 35.8% on his guarded catch-and-shoot attempts and 21.1% on a limited volume of dribble-jumpers is distinctly less compelling. His 60.6 true-shooting percentage still ranked 152nd nationwide this season, which is extremely impressive given his balanced shot diet. Colorado ranked in the 71st percentile with a 104.1 defensive rating during da Silva's minutes this season, with the switchable forward offering valuable scheme versatility - although he's more of a quality team defender than one-on-one stopper. da Silva's archetype is alluring due to his size and fluidity, but the question becomes: what can he excel at versus next-level physicality? da Silva's lean frame will soon face rim protection like never before, and his handle out of self-creation isn't twitchy - although it's worth noting that da Silva added 20 pounds throughout his tenure at Colorado. Knocking down 34.8% of 155 guarded catch-and-shoot threes across the past two seasons is a workable foundation, but his prospect floor might still be lower than many perceive. He has logged double-digit rebounds just four times in 69 games since 2022. Ultimately, da Silva has crafty touch, savvy cutting, and good decision-making to score efficiently. Rui Hachimura comes to mind as a comparison, while Tobias Harris would be a best-case scenario.

Option for Toronto?
FFree Agent
June 20, 2024
The Raptors could be interested in drafting da Silva with their first-round pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, according to Eric Koreen of The Athletic.
ANALYSIS The Raptors have the 19th and 31st picks in this year's draft, and they're expected to use their first-round pick on a starting-caliber wing. Da Silva fits that mold, as he's one of the most NBA-ready prospects in the draft, and he might be ready to contribute to an NBA rotation right away, even if he only comes off the bench. Da Silva averaged 16.0 points, 5.1 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.6 blocks in 34.0 minutes per game while shooting 49.3 percent from the field for Colorado in 2023-24.
