Arcidiacono once again filled a reserve backcourt role in his third season, although he saw a notable downturn from the career-high 24.2 minutes per contest he'd averaged during the 2018-19 campaign. The third-year guard averaged a more modest 16.0 minutes per game and parlayed them into 4.5 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.7 assists across 58 games before the non-playoff-contending Bulls' season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Villanova product saw an unfortunate drop in overall efficiency with a career-low 40.9 field-goal percentage, but he actually performed a career-best level from behind the arc by draining 39.1 percent of his attempts from distance. Arcidiacono seems destined for a reprisal of the role he's filled since entering the league three seasons ago, as he'll likely operate as the third point guard behind Coby White and veteran Tomas Satoransky. Arcidiacono's primary fantasy value stems from his three-point contributions, although he could offer serviceable numbers in rebounds and assists if he sees an unexpected boost in opportunity due to injuries in front of him.
Arcidiacono appeared in 81 games and drew 32 starts as a sophomore last season, accumulating per-game averages of 6.7 points (44.7 FG%, 37.3 3P%, 87.3 FT%), 3.3 assists versus 0.8 turnovers, 2.7 rebounds, 1.0 three and 0.8 steals across 24.2 minutes. Having earned just 12.7 minutes per night in 24 tilts as a rookie, Arcidiacono was a pleasantly surprising source of efficient counting stats in 2018-19. The offseason additions of Tomas Satoransky and Coby White could result in less playing time for Arcidiacono going forward, especially if Kris Dunn isn't eventually traded. As a result, Arcidiacono could find it difficult to match last year's production. With that being said, his ability to sink threes coupled with his willingness to get after it defensively may keep him involved in the regular rotation. Ultimately, barring a roster shakeup that opens up more minutes, Arcidiacono is likely best reserved for use in deeper fantasy formats.
