Past Fantasy Outlooks
2013
2012
2011
Things looked rosy for Brooks after his 2011-12 rookie season in New Jersey. As a rare bright spot on a really bad squad, Brooks got 47 starts and averaged 12.6 points in 29 minutes per game. Ownership then went on a spending spree, bringing in Joe Johnson via trade, and Brooks played only 13 minutes per game in his sophomore. At 24 years old, he's just the type of player the Celtics are hunting for: young with upside. He'll be given plenty of opportunity to provide an offensive spark off the bench (insert obligatory Vinnie "The Microwave" Johnson reference here). With Bradley's defensive focus, Brooks could be an ideal complement.
Brooks finished third behind Brandon Knight and Kyrie Irving for the rookie scoring title, at 12.6 points per game. He broke out of the gates like gangbusters, averaging 14.4 points over the season's first month, but cooled slightly in the wake of a broken pinkie toe and sporadic playing time upon his return. He's now relegated to a reserve role behind Johnson, so don't expect much improvement unless Johnson goes down.

A true scorer, the 25th pick in this year's draft averaged 24.6 PPG for Providence last year, and has been compared favorably to the Wizards' Nick Young by scouts. Scored 48 points at a Nike Pro City tournament in July, clearly demonstrating the ability to create his own shot. He'll start off the year behind Anthony Morrow, but at 6-5 could challenge for some time at the three as well.
