Keith McLeod

Mcleod was given an unguaranteed contract this offseason and based on his disappointing play in the summer league isn't likely to be on the final roster.

McLeod was acquired in the off-season as part of the Derek Fisher trade and will mostly likely serve as the third string point guard behind Baron Davis and Monta Ellis. McLeod played sparingly last year for the Jazz (5.6 point and 2.3 assists in 18.7 mpg) and, if he makes the team, shouldn’t see much time for the Warriors this year.

McLeod, still unsigned at press time, showed some signs of life early in 2004-05, starting 47 games for the Jazz, and putting up the occasional strong effort, like the 18-point, eight-assist, two-steal game he had against the Raptors in March. Improving his outside shot would go a long way toward kickstarting McLeod's career, as he matched his career percentage of 35% from the field in 2004-05. McLeod is fast and is a good distributor, and at age 25 does have some upside, but the Jazz have clearly handed the keys to their offense to Deron Williams, so McLeod figures to be the odd man out.

Will vie for a spot on the T-Wolves roster as a backup point guard.
