Mutombo will log 10-12 minutes per game backing up Yao Ming. He'll play a little defense and grab a few rebounds, but he's too old to be a major factor.

Mutombo, who signed a two-year deal to return to Houston this season, will back up Yao Ming. The addition of Stromile Swift should not impact Mutomobo’s playing time, as Swift will work out of the power forward position. Mutombo is obviously at the end of a long career and is unlikely to play more than 15 minutes a night.

Mutombo will spell Yao Ming at the center spot for 10 to 15 minutes per night.

Mutombo's age is clearly catching up to him. He played in only 24 games last season and averaged career lows of only six points and six rebounds. Now that he's playing for the Knicks, Mutombo should get another chance as a starting center, but if he's ineffective, New York could very well move Kurt Thomas back to the position, especially if power forward Antonio McDyess returns sooner rather than later. Draft only if you are in desperate need of rebounds and blocks.
