ANALYSIS
Inglis joined the Knicks just over two weeks for training camp with the understanding that he'd be waived and bound for the club's D-League affiliate in Westchester. If Inglis impresses in the D-League, he could earn a contract from the Knicks or another NBA team eventually.

The 31st overall pick in the 2014 draft, Inglis missed all of last season while recovery from a fractured foot suffered during a pre-draft workout. He was initially expected to join the team around mid-season, but the injury did not heal properly, and he underwent an additional surgery in January, officially putting him out for the remainder of the year. As a result, Inglis' first official action as a member of the Bucks came at the Las Vegas Summer League in July. Now healthy and ready to compete after seeing limited action in Las Vegas, Inglis will look to pick up where he left of a year ago. Inglis is considered to be very much a work in progress, especially offensively, but he already has an NBA body and projects to develop into an excellent, versatile defender down the road. The question is whether he's developed to the point that he'll be able to contribute this season. If nothing else, Inglis will be in the rotation as a defensive specialist, but that limited role likely would not translate to significant fantasy value. He flashed a promising shooting stroke (38 percent) while playing in France two seasons ago, but whether or not that will translate to the NBA level remains to be seen.
The 31st pick in the 2014 draft, Inglis is a bit of a mystery. A native of French Guyana, Inglis spent last season in the Pro A league in France. averaging 4.6 points, 3.6 boards, and 1.0 assist in 15 minutes per game. The numbers certainly don't jump off the page, but overseas stats are usually to be taken with a grain of salt. Inglis has already forged a reputation as a top-flight defender, and at 19 years old he has a frame most players would envy (6-8, 240 pounds). Where Inglis, who was held out of summer league due to a foot injury, fits into the Bucks' rotation is a crapshoot at this point. Despite shooting nearly 50 percent from the floor last season, he's fairly raw offensively, which could prevent him from carving out consistent minutes. However, his defensive abilities could make up for any offensive issues, and given the Bucks' position as a non-contender, Inglis will likely have a chance to prove himself in Year 1. He'll compete primarily with Khris Middleton, O.J. Mayo, and Jared Dudley for minutes at shooting guard and small forward.
