2017 Fantasy Outlook
After being selected with the 37th overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft, Onuaku spent the majority of the season in a developmental role. He played a total of just five games with the Rockets and instead, was sent to the formerly known D-League to work on his game. In 43 contests with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, Onuaku averaged 13.6 points, 10.6 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.6 blocks across 28.0 minutes, showing at least some potential upside as both a rebounder and shot blocker. His offense still needs a lot of work and the Rockets currently have a logjam at the position, so he'll struggle to find minutes during his sophomore year. At best, Onuaku will attempt to push Tarik Black and Shawn Long for rights to the third center role, which should keep him off the Fantasy radar.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
NBA comeback on tap?
Onuaku is planning a workout with the Celtics and could be readying an NBA comeback, according to Eurohoops.net.
ANALYSIS
Aside from visiting the Celtics for a workout, the Cavaliers have also emerged as a team with interest in signing the 25-year-old big man. Onuaku was selected with the 37th pick in the 2016 NBA Draft but appeared in only seven professional games from 2016 to 2018. He is coming off a stellar season in Israel, however, as he was named the league MVP after putting up 15.3 points, 9.7 boards, 2.8 assists, 1.7 steals and 1.5 blocks per game for Bnei Herzliya. He's not going to put up those numbers in the NBA, but the chances of making a comeback to The Association are still alive for him.
