Elijah Millsap

Millsap spent half of last season in the D-League but made an immediate impact with the Jazz when he was acquired in early January. After joining Utah, the rookie rattled off 47 appearances during the final 48 games of the season and surprisingly had a regular role in coach Quin Snyder's rotation at an average of 20 minutes per game. The 28-year-old not only spent significant time on the court but also produced at a respectable rate of 5.3 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 1.2 steals, 0.3 blocks, and 0.6 three-pointers in a role off the bench behind Gordon Hayward and Joe Ingles. Coming into this new season, Millsap is still slotted behind Hayward, but he'll be directly competing for playing time with Ingles and second-year sharpshooter Rodney Hood. Snyder afforded all four players legitimate playing time a year ago, and that was made easier since they can all float over to shooting guard and individually bring something different to the table. Millsap in particular has an aggressive style of play on both ends of the court and most notably has an innate ability to attack the rim. That skill alone still doesn't make him a viable option in standard formats.
