ANALYSIS
An undrafted free agent back in 2007, Teletovic got his NBA career started with the Nets and wound up spending six years in the league with stops in Phoenix and Milwaukee as well. The 6-foot-9 forward put together his best year with the Suns during the 2015-16 season, posting averages of 12.2 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 2.3 three-pointers. Teletovic also had a solid career overseas, becoming a two-time Liga ACB champion with Saski Baskonia in 2008 and 2010. He'll now call it a career and is considering presidential duties in the Bosnian Basketball Federation.

Teletovic – whose Fantasy value comes from his high-volume microwave scoring potential off the bench – failed to live up to that role with the Bucks last season. He struggled from beyond the arc, his bread and butter, hitting just 34.1 percent of his shots from deep en route to 6.4 points per game. That, combined with the fact that he posted only 2.3 boards across a minimal workload of 16.2 minutes per game, made him essentially irrelevant in most Fantasy formats. As a small forward/power forward, Teletovic’s path to playing time was cut last season by the emergence of Tony Snell and Jabari Parker in their respective roles. But, with Parker out with a torn ACL until around February 2018, Teletovic may be able to garner a more significant role than he did last season, assuming rookie D.J. Wilson doesn’t come out of the gate hot. So, while it seems fair to assume Teletovic’s numbers will probably see an uptick, he’s still a borderline Fantasy option, even in deeper leagues.
Teletovic, a 6-foot-9 forward who has been a strong shooter from downtown over four seasons in the league, was a top target this offseason from the Bucks, who desperately needed to add some three-point threats to their roster. The big man quickly struck a three-year, $30 million deal with the club, and will try to build on his career-best season with the Suns in 2015-16, during which he averaged 12.2 points, 3.8 boards, 2.3 treys and 1.1 assists in 21.3 minutes per game over 79 appearances. It was initially expected that Teletovic wouldn't see as much court time in a Bucks frontcourt that's deeper in comparison to the Suns', but his floor-stretching skills may be needed even more than anticipated after it was announced in September that Khris Middleton, Milwaukee's top scorer and three-point shooter from a season ago, would require surgery to repair a torn hamstring. It's expected that Middleton will be sidelined through at least March, paving the way for Teletovic to see more time alongside Jabari Parker at one of the forward spots in order to get more shooting on the floor. While Teletovic still figures to come off the bench due to his defensive limitations, a projected increase in court time could translate to improved all-around numbers for the 31-year-old. Draft him if you're in need of three-point production or some supplemental scoring.
Teletovic enters his fourth NBA season and his first with the Suns after an up-and-down stay in Brooklyn. The 30-year-old averaged 8.5 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in a career-high 22 minutes last season, but his shooting percentage fell under 40 percent as he struggled to find a consistent rhythm, especially from beyond the arc. After connecting on 39 percent of his three-pointers in 2013-14, his percentage tanked to just 32 percent last season on nearly five attempts per game. Teletovic's season was cut short in January when it was announced that he had multiple blood clots in his lungs. Initially ruled out for the remainder of the year, Teletovic missed the rest of the regular season but made a surprising return in the first round of the playoffs. He would play only 17 combined minutes in three contests, however, as the Nets fell to Atlanta in six games. Teletovic comes to Phoenix looking to reassert himself as one of the league's more underrated three-point threats. Coach Jeff Hornacek's uptempo system - the Suns played at the NBA's third-fastest pace and ranked among the top 10 in three-point attempts - should play to Teletovic's strengths. Whether he sees enough minutes to be a consistent fantasy contributor remains to be seen, however. At present, Phoenix has at least three capable options at power forward. However, if the Suns deal Markieff Morris, Teletovic's outlook becomes much more favorable.
Teletovic emerged as a consistent rotational player in his second NBA season, appearing in 72 games and making seven starts. Following a rookie season in which he found himself buried on the bench, Teletovic took advantage of injuries to Andrei Kirilenko and rest for Kevin Garnett to carve out minutes in the frontcourt. In 19 minutes per game, Teletovic averaged 8.6 points, 0.8 assists, and 3.7 rebounds. He shot a hair under 42 percent from the floor but converted 39 percent of his three-pointers, which accounted for well over half of his field goal attempts. With Garnett set to return for a 20th NBA season and Kirilenko healthy, Teletovic's opportunities could be more limited this season, but he figures to again be a constant in the rotation. He's still a bit rough on the defensive end, but he's the Nets' top three-point shooter and is a somewhat surprisingly effective rebounder.
As a 28-year-old rookie last season, Teletovic appeared in just 53 contests. He's a versatile small forward/stretch four with a confident shooting stroke but is yet to show he's anything more than a three-point specialist. He'll compete with Shengelia and Alan Anderson for playing time off the bench.
Acquired from Spain's Caja Laboral, Teletovic is a long 6-foot-9 and weighs in at an NBA-ready 240 lbs. He led the Turkish Airlines Euroleague in scoring with 21.7 points per game and could be a sneaky three-point asset (43.8 percent) when more plodding defenders don't challenge him from the outside. He'll need to carve out playing time behind both Humphries and Wallace, though.
