Drops 23 points in win
GMemphis Hustle   G League (Grizzlies)
March 6, 2020
Teague collected 23 points (8-24 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 3-3 FT), five assists and three rebounds across 38 minutes during Wednesday's 121-113 G League loss to the Blue.
ANALYSIS
With a number of the Hustle's top contributors seeing extended time in the pros with the Grizzlies, Teague has continued to find success in the G League. Over his past five games, the 27-year-old is averaging 18.8 points on 37-for-19 shooting. Even though his efficiency hasn't been great, the rate at which he's shooting has allowed him to put up solid numbers. He figures to remain a top contributor for the Hustle while Yuta Watanabe, Jarrod Uthoff, John Konchar and Josh Jackson spend time in the pros.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2014
2013
2012
Teague split his second NBA season between the Bulls and Nets, coming over from Chicago in a January deal that sent Tornike Shengelia to the Bulls. He appeared in 40 cumulative games, making 21 appearances for Brooklyn in which he averaged 3.0 points, 1.0 rebounds, and 1.4 assists. While his numbers increased after the trade, Teague shot a combined 32 percent from the field, one of the lowest percentages in the league at any position. In the 2012-13 season, Teague shot just 38 percent from the field and a paltry 17 percent from three. He's a talented, athletic defender but is simply too inefficient offensively to warrant consistent playing time. Teague will open the season as the third or fourth point guard, battling Jorge Gutierrez for reserve minutes.
Teague was not offered much of a role behind Hinrich and Nate Robinson last season, but didn't do much to distinguish himself either, scoring 2.1 points and dishing out 2.3 assists in 8.2 mpg. With Robinson gone to Denver as an unrestricted free agent, Teague will be given a chance to compete with Hinrich for the backup point guard slot behind Rose, but will need to rein in a shaky jump shot and show more assertiveness in running the second team offense to merit further consideration.
Teague, drafted 29th overall by the Bulls this year, was the starting point guard for Kentucky's national championship team this past season. He struggled shooting from the perimeter and probably took a few too many shots, but has quick feet and could turn into a quality energy guy.
