Signed to a two-year, $10 million contract this offseason, Williams averaged 8.3 points, 2.7 rebounds, 0.7 assists, 0.5 steals, and 0.7 three-pointers in 20 minutes per game across 74 appearances for the Kings last season. While those subpar numbers reflect Williams' decline since being drafted No. 2 overall in 2011, Williams spent 35 percent of his minutes last season at small forward, a high-mark for his four-year career. That shift hurt Williams' rebounding numbers and forced him to play further away from the basket than he's suited for offensively. An underwhelming outside shooter, Williams figures to play both forward positions for the Knicks, where his open court athleticism should encourage them to push the tempo more often this season. Still just 24 years old, Williams will have the opportunity to carve out a solid role on New York's roster, but fantasy owners outside the deepest of leagues should probably steer clear of an offensively limited player that has trended down in recent seasons.
