Dale Davis

Davis will give the Warriors a solid backup to starting center Adonal Foyle, who will be a full-time starter for the first time in his career. If that doesn’t cause you to question Foyle’s value, he’s coming off a season marred by a knee injury, so there may be an opportunity for Davis to get some decent minutes. Some of the drop in his playing time (22.1 mpg) for Portland last season can be attributable to age (34), but the arrival of Theo Ratliff also played a role. He needs to get 30 minutes a night to have fantasy value for you.

Davis will give the Warriors dependable frontcourt depth, mostly at center behind Adonal Foyle. Davis was part of an offseason personnel movement toward coachable veteran players who can help develop the team's younger talent and work well with new coach, and former college coach, Mike Montgomery. Foyle has never been asked to be a full time starter -- as he is this season -- so Davis' playing time could increase as the season wears on.
