DraftKings NBA: Finals Game 4 Cheat Sheet

DraftKings NBA: Finals Game 4 Cheat Sheet

This article is part of our DraftKings NBA series.

We have a single-game Showdown on DraftKings for Tuesday. The Heat take on the Lakers in Game 4 of the NBA Finals with tip-off set for 9 p.m. EDT. After what looked like a potential sweep in the making, the Heat, on the shoulders of Jimmy Butler, took down Game 3 and gave new life to his squad and title aspirations. They'll now look to even the series, but we can expect LeBron James and company to have different plans in mind, with a Game 4 victory putting the Lakers one win away from bringing a championship back to Los Angeles.

Slate Overview

MIA vs. LAL (-7.5) O/U 218.5

The biggest news heading into Game 4 is the availability of Bam Adebayo, who has been upgraded to questionable after missing the last two games with a neck injury. He would be a big boost for the Heat if he can return, and adding another scoring option to help Jimmy Butler could really turn this series around after it appeared it was going to be a cake walk to an 18th title for the Lakers organization.

Injury Situations to Monitor

Bam Adebayo, MIA (neck) Questionable

As I said, this is the main injury situation to be following. The Heat will hope to get their big man back after a neck injury sidelined him for two games. It would be assumed that if he is cleared to play he won't be 100 percent and possibly on a minutes restriction, so keep an eye on his status as we get closer to tip-off. Kelly Olynyk has been getting run in his place and turned in a solid effort in the Game 3 win.

Goran Dragic, MIA (foot) Doubtful

It doesn't appear the Heat will get their veteran point guard back for Game 4, as he continues to deal with a foot injury he sustained in the first game of the series. Kendrick Nunn has been getting minutes in his absence but has been mostly ineffective so far.

Elite Plays

Anthony Davis, LAL ($11,400) Captain: ($17,100)

Coming off an uncharacteristically bad performance that saw him in early foul trouble and surprisingly passive late in the game, Davis will look to get back on track in Game 4 and help the Lakers try to get within one win of an NBA title. He only took nine shots in the loss to the Heat, a number we should expect to be much higher this time around. Bounce-back performances seem even more likely in the bubble, as there isn't anywhere to go or escape your thoughts, so I'm sure Davis has had plenty of time to ponder what went wrong. He still commands nearly 25 percent of his team's usage and is a double-double threat any given night, as we saw in Game 2's 32-point, 14-rebound showcase.

Jimmy Butler, MIA ($9,600) Captain: ($14,400)

Saving some salary with Butler as your captain can give you a little more flexibility in your utility spots. After a massive 83.3 fantasy point display, he's arguably the best captain option due to the various injuries facing the Heat lineup, which has catapulted his usage to over 30 percent. Even if they get Bam Adebayo back, Butler will still be the focal point of the offense and should be rostered in either setting.

Expected Chalk

Tyler Herro, MIA ($8,000)

We haven't seen the 51 fantasy point Herro we saw in the conference finals against Boston, but he still has been a solid contributor, playing over 30 minutes a game and averaging over 25 fantasy points in his last three. He's struggled from long range in this series, going 5-for-18 on three-pointers and somewhat limiting his upside. He should continue being the second scoring option behind Jimmy Butler as long as Goran Dragic and Bam Adebayo remain out. If Herro can get hot from behind the arc he could be in line for a big night, and the Heat will certainly need him to find that range if they want to even this series at two wins apiece.

Rajon Rondo, LAL ($7,200)

The veteran floor general has been somewhat of a mixed bag throughout the playoffs. Rondo continues to run the second unit while seeing plenty of court time with the Lakers' two All-Stars.  His main contributions come through assists and rebounds but also has the ability to score and step back for the occasional three pointer. The Lakers should continue to lean on his experience and leadership, making him a solid floor option to surround with higher-upside players as he routinely delivers 20 fantasy-point outings nightly.

Key Values

Duncan Robinson, MIA ($5,000)

Some may be tempted to chase the outlier game from Kyle Kuzma, which was more of a byproduct of a bad night for Anthony Davis that saw him in early foul trouble. While Duncan Robinson has been equally as streaky, it's more of a matter of opportunity as the Heat deal with multiple injuries to their starting five. Robinson flashed his upside in Game 3 with a 31.3 fantasy point performance. He took 10 shots from three-point land, only hitting three, but it's comforting to see he's not afraid to let it rip from behind the arc. He also has the ability to add steals and blocks, giving him the chance to stuff the staff sheet in multiple ways.

Kelly Olynyk, MIA ($3,200)

Even if Bam Adebayo is able to return from injury, we should expect Olynyk to see a solid amount of court time as he's helped the Heat stay in games and was instrumental to their Game 3 win, chipping in 17 points and seven rebounds while draining three buckets from beyond the arc. He remains far too cheap for his current role and will be a true key value to any roster construction, whether starting or not.
