Reunites with Brewers
Broxton signed a minor-league deal with the Brewers on Tuesday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Broxton was cut by the Twins in mid-August after posting a .181/.284/.330 slash line in 72 games at the Triple-A level this year. The 31-year-old has a .736 OPS over parts of three MLB seasons with the Brewers, but he hasn't seen the majors since 2019 and has struggled in his attempts to carve out a role elsewhere.

Broxton signed a minor-league deal with the Brewers last offseason and attended summer camp, but spent the entire year toiling at the alternate training facility. Back in 2019, Broxton split time with three organizations, posting a combined .517 OPS. Once considered toolsy, Broxton's baseball skills never caught up to his athleticism, especially the contact rate. Now on the wrong side of 30 years old, Broxton is running out of chances to carve out more of an MLB career, if he hasn't exhausted them already.
