Signs minor league contract with Twins
Pino agreed to a minor league contract with the Twins on Tuesday, Matt Eddy of Baseball America reports.
ANALYSIS
The right-hander most recently pitched in Korea, struggling to the tune of a 7.15 ERA over 39.0 innings, while posting a 23/15 K/BB ratio to go with it. He pitched with the Twins back in 2014, but posted a 5.07 ERA across 60.1 innings. The 33-year-old will likely provide organization depth at reliever for the Twins.

2008 Fantasy Outlook
Pino came on strong as a prospect last year with good strikeout and control numbers, but there are some questions to whether he'll have the same success at higher levels. He'll be 24 next season, so he was a little old for his competition, and he's had a high strikeout rate despite a fastball that rarely hits 90 mph. He struggled a bit after being promoted to Double-A with a 5.13 ERA, but still had great control and a solid strikeout rate and overall had a 104:26 K:BB ratio in 115 innings between High-A and Double-A last season. A strong year at Double-A could put him back into the mix for a major league job in 2009.
