Lilek (shoulder) finished the season throwing in a limited capacity with the Marlins' rookie-league affiliate in the Gulf Coast League.
ANALYSIS
Despite the limited return to game action, the left-hander is still listed on the 7-day disabled list, suggesting this performance was simply a rehab assignment of sorts for him. Lilek pitched fine with the rookie squad, allowing just one run in five innings pitched. It's unclear how close he is to getting back in full, but things should clear up as he ramps up his activity further during the offseason.

The depth of the Mets' rotation pushes Steven Matz to the No. 4 slot, but RotoWire's James Anderson says there's no doubt Matz is the top pitching prospect this season.
2016 Fantasy Outlook
A second-rounder in 2015 out of Arizona State, Lilek was fantastic in his pro debut for short-season Batavia. Pitching mostly as a 21-year-old, the 6-foot-4 lefty notched 43 strikeouts and walked just seven in 35 innings over 11 appearances (10 starts). His season was even more impressive when factoring in that he allowed 11 total earned runs in back-to-back starts in July, but otherwise gave up just two earned runs in his other nine outings (29.1 innings), which equates to a 0.61 ERA over those appearances. Lilek will most likely be a little under the radar in dynasty league drafts this season, due to the fact that 49 players were selected before the Marlins popped him. However, there aren’t many pitchers from that class who can match Lilek’s initial success in pro ball. Look for him to open his age-22 season with Low-A Greensboro with the potential to shoot up prospect lists if he can pick up where he left off last season.
