Preston Guilmet

A ninth-round pick by the Indians in 2009, Guilmet quietly dominated in his first five professional seasons. Coming into 2014, he had posted a sub-2.40 ERA and sub-1.03 WHIP in each of his previous four seasons, with a ridiculous 262:48 K:BB over that span. Guilmet struggled in a couple of brief stints with the big club in 2013 and the Tribe seemingly soured on him as a result, dealing him to the Orioles just a week into the 2014 campaign for outfielder Torsten Boss. The soft-tossing right-hander went on to post a 5.23 ERA in 10 appearances with Baltimore, but bad luck marred his numbers (55.6% LOB%, 20.0% HR/FB). It was a small sample, but his xFIP was all the way down at 2.59. Toronto acquired Guilmet on a waiver claim in December and it wouldn't be a surprise if he wound up being a fairly significant contributor in the middle innings in 2015.
