Past Fantasy Outlooks
2015
2014
Jimenez once again performed well at Triple-A Salt Lake in 2014, notching a .286/.321/.505 line in 501 plate appearances, but he looked overmatched in his time at the big league level, slugging just .216 in 18 games. While Jimenez may have been a serious contender to fill the void at third base in 2013, that opportunity faded with the acquisition of David Freese last offseason, leaving Jimenez to act as organizational depth in a crowded infield. This led to Jimenez being placed on waivers and subsequently claimed by the Brewers in late October. At 27 years old, the Brewers can hope that Jimenez will develop the power he's shown throughout his minor league career (.507 slugging percentage), but with little success in the major leagues to this point, he will likely compete for a role off the bench behind long-time third baseman Aramis Ramirez heading into 2015.
