Closer Watch
Astros -- The last time before Friday that Astro's closer Wilton Lopez gave up a run was September 2, and he got six saves while only walking one batter, which turns out to have been an intentional walk to Ryan Howard, in 10.1 innings pitched. Even though Lopez's shutout streak was broken Friday, he still earned a save after giving up two runs because his team gave him a three-run lead coming into the ninth. Lopez should be picked up by any team still in contention that could use a couple more saves before the season ends, and he happens to still be available in 81 percent of all Yahoo! leagues.
Mets -- Bobby Parnell earned his second save in two games since being called upon again to be the Mets closer when Frank Francisco went down. This time even more impressive than last as it only took seven pitches to get three Braves out, including one strikeout. The Mets are one of Major League Baseball's hotter teams at the moment having won seven out of their last ten games after Friday's prefomance, making Parnell worth a look in any fantasy league where he is still available off the wire.

Recommended Pickup
Nathan Eovaldi, P, MIA -- With a record of only four wins to go along with 12 losses, Eovaldi hasn't been much of a fantasy option thus far at first for the Dodgers and now the Marlins. Most people that aren't in deep dynasty leagues probably have stayed away from 22-year-old Texan who only has a below-average 5.6 K/9 ratio in 2012. Why Eovaldi is getting the recommendation for his start against the Philles on Sunday is because his last two appearances, both against the Braves, were two of his best starts of the season. The first was an eight inning shutout, and the other was a six inning, eight strikeout game where he did give up two runs. While Eovaldi's record indicates he is not the odds on favorite to come out with a win against the Phillies, he has been on a hot streak, and could benefit a fantasy team looking to take a chance on him continuing to pitch well.
Other Recent Recommendations:Darin Ruf, Drew Smyly, Chris Tilman, Brett Gardner, and Jorge De La Rosa
