Closer Watch

New York Yankees – All eyes will be on Fenway Park on Sunday to see if Derek Jeter performs the last rites of a storied career. He is rumored to have tweaked his hamstring Saturday, and may or may not play. One teammate will definitely be relegated to the bench for the festivities. Dellin Betances was shut down for the weekend, and has thrown his final pitch this season. This should open a high-leverage spot for Adam Warren, a 27-year-old right-hander who has already poached a five-out save this month. For owners making one last desperate push in ERA, WHIP and saves are likely to find most of the premium bullpen arms have been snatched up. For an incredibly unorthodox play, grab Warren and pray for Jeter to stage one last hoorah in the way of late-game heroics at Fenway.

Recommended Pickup

Robbie Erlin, P, SD – The Padres and Giants will play one of the many games Sunday that have postseason implications for neither team. San Francisco has already clinched the final NL Wild Card berth, and can do nothing to improve its lot in the postseason seeding. Meanwhile, the team is also banged up, with former MVP Buster Posey dealing with a sore back. San Deigo has long been elminated from postseason play, so the squad has been playing for 2015 for weeks. Every game – including Sunday's finale – is a de facto audition for the Padres' players. Due to the fact the Giants will likely try to sneak another day of rest for some of their regulars against their division rival, Erlin looks like a strong start, even away from the friendly confines of Petco Park.

Draft Kings Value Picks

SP: Robbie Erlin, SD ($6,200)
C: Yasmani Grandal, SD ($3,500)
1B: Logan Morrison, SEA ($3,600)
2B: Wilmer Flores, NYM ($2,800)
SS: Derek Jeter, NYY ($4,000)
3B: Aramis Ramirez, MIL ($3,600)
OF: Kole Calhoun, LAA ($3,800)
