Loses in return from
Dunham lost to Herbert Burns via submission (rear-naked choke) at 1:20 of Round 1 at UFC 250 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Dunham's return from "retirement" didn't go well. Fighting for the first time since September 2018, Dunham allowed the talented Brazilian to quickly take control of the bout. Going to the ground with a mat specialist such as Burns is a recipe for disaster, and Dunham found himself tapping out just moments later. It's just the second submission loss of Dunham's long career. It wouldn't be the least bit surprising if Dunham "retired" once again given the fact he will be turning 39 years old this coming December and hasn't won a fight in nearly four years.

Loses UFC Lincoln fight
Dunham will no longer fight Michael Johnson at UFC Lincoln on April 25, as Johnson has been moved to UFC 249 on April 18.
ANALYSIS
Johnson initially retired after a loss to Francisco Trinaldo at UFC Fight Night 137, but was scheduled to come out of retirement to face Johnson. It's unclear if he'll still look to schedule one more fight to try and go out on a high note, but nobody can blame him for not wanting to rush out and fight in the midst of a global pandemic.

Un-retires to fight Michael Johnson
Dunham (18-8-1) is scheduled to face Michael Johnson (19-15-0) in a lightweight fight at UFC Lincoln on April 25, Nolan King of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Before suffering a knockout loss to Francisco Trinaldo at UFC Sao Paulo in September 2018, Dunham indicated that he would call an end to his MMA career, but he's apparently decided to come out of retirement more than a year and a half later. The lack of recent work in the Octagon won't help Dunham, but he'll at least benefit from a matchup versus a reeling fighter in Johnson, who has lost his last two bouts.

Career ends with KO loss to Francisco Trinaldo
Dunham lost to Francisco Trinaldo via KO (knee) at 4:10 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
ANALYSIS
When Dunham began his professional MMA career well over 11 years ago, he probably didn't see it ending due to a counter knee to the liver, but here we are. The grizzled veteran announced last month that he would be retiring following this fight and Dunham is going to be upset about how his last bout went. The 36-year-old had been relying on grit and determination for years and Saturday was no different. Dunham was a quality all-around fighter who was always limited by a lack of athletic ability. Still, it was an impressive run for the long time Xtreme Couture product.
