Redmond will not return this season after undergoing knee surgery. Manager Vincent Kompany told reporters Tuesday, "It's really unlucky for him mostly but also for us. It was a freak incident but luckily the doctors have told us he will recover fully, but it's surgery and season over,' per Matt Scrafton of the Burnley Express.

Redmond was already expected to be sidelined long-term after he announced he underwent surgery to repair his knee but this is confirmation that he won't be back this season.
