Gomez (hamstring) will miss Sunday's clash against Manchester United. "Joe is of course not in a good place when it comes to his injury. He is out for a few weeks, that's for sure," coach Arne Slot confirmed in the press conference.
ANALYSIS
Gomez will be sidelined for a few weeks due to injury. However, his absence is unlikely to impact the starting XI, as Ibrahima Konate is set to return to training Friday and is nearing full fitness. Jarell Quansah is expected to partner Virgil van Dijk in central defense for a match, if not more.

Gomez suffered a hamstring injury in Sunday's 5-0 win over West Ham and is expected to miss a solid chunk of time, according to manager Arne Slot. "You saw today an injury of Joe Gomez. If a player says he wants to stop, he has to be changed. In a sprint, then we all know it's a hamstring and we all know it's going take a while before he is back. I don't know how long but he will be out for quite a bit."

Wanted by two clubs

Aston Villa and Newcastle United want to sign Gomez, according to Football Insider.
ANALYSIS
Gomez has no place in the current Liverpool squad, and the defender wants to leave Anfield to see regular minutes elsewhere. He's open to staying in the Premier League, though, and he might get the chance given the two teams that are interested in him. Newcastle could certainly used Gomez after not being able to sign Marc Guehi in the summer.
