Seitz has retired from professional football, he announced in a Twitter post Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Seitz kept 22 clean sheets in 117 MLS games during a 15-year career that began when Real Salt Lake drafted him out of Maryland University in 2007. The goalkeeper most notably spent seven years with FC Dallas, where he won the Supporters Shield and the U.S. Open Cup in 2016, but he also won the MLS Cup early on with RSL in 2009, before adding a second U.S. Open Cup with Houston in 2018.
