Pilkington came on for Jonas Gutierrez in the 68th minute of Norwich City's 1-0 win over Hull City on Saturday. He got one shot off, but it failed to land on goal.

Pilkington is expected to be out of action until January after suffering a hamstring injury in last weekend's loss to Newcastle, reports the Daily Mail.

Pilkington (hip) is fit to face Newcastle on Saturday after pulling out of the Republic of Ireland's two friendlies over the international break, the Norwich Evening News reports.

Pilkington is still being assessed by the club doctors at Norwich over the dead leg he suffered in last weekend's win over West Ham. The FAI say he remains a doubt for the Republic of Ireland's friendly against Latvia on Friday, according to The Irish Times.

Pilkington (hamstring) sat on the bench during Ireland's World Cup Qualifier in Germany, but could not have been involved in the game because of injury. He will return to his club and miss the last qualifier against Kazakhstan on Tuesday, according to BBC Sport.
