Yahoo DFS Soccer: Wednesday UCL Picks

MATCHES (EST)

FORWARDS

Robert Lewandowski, FCB vs. LAZ (€32): Lewandowski continues to pile up video game-like numbers, scoring at least one goal in an unfathomable 15 of his last 16 appearances. He has the best goal-scoring odds of any player on the slate by a wide margin, and while Lazio will try their best to bottle him up, there should be little hesitation in making way for the hottest striker in the world.

Ciro Immobile, LAZ at BAY (€30): Immobile hasn't scored in six games, but he's still the biggest goal-scoring threat outside of the Bayern Munich contingent. He's scored in four of five UCL appearances this season, and with Lazio chasing a three-goal deficit, he'll be firing at any and all opportunities Wednesday.

Serge Gnabry, FCB vs. LAZ (€23): Gnabry missed the first leg win over Lazio with a thigh injury, but he's been right back at it with three goals in limited minutes over his last three outings. He's expected to return Wednesday, and at this price on a two-game slate with Bayern heavily favored, he's well worth plugging in over a scrub at the same salary.

MIDFIELDERS

Leon Goretzka, BAY vs. LAZ (€24): Goretzka has scored or assisted in four consecutive outings, highlighting his fine form heading into the second leg. Given the lack of exciting options in the midfield, Gortzka is worth finding room for if enough value emerges once starting lineups are released.

Luis Alberto, LAZ at BAY (€18): Alberto scored in his last Serie A appearance and continues to create chances at a high clip. He's standing over a large share of Lazio's set plays, and with the Italian side chasing a three-goal deficit, he'll have no choice but to get things going both on dead balls and in open play from the onset.

Thomas Lemar, ATM at CHE (€10): Lemar serves as a reminder that we'll likely need to throw a dart with a minimum-priced player in order to fit in the heavy artillery that we want. Look for any attractive values that emerge when starting XI's come out and adjust accordingly.

DEFENDERS

Marcos Alonso, CHE vs. ATM (€19): Alonso has contributed to a clean sheet in three of his last four appearances, and he could see a sizable share of set pieces with Mason Mount suspended. Alonso has thrived under new Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel, and he should continue to see opportunities to make things happen Wednesday.

Kieran Trippier, ATM at CHE (€18): Trippier looks to be back to full strength after missing 10 games for breaching betting rules. With Atletico looking to flip a 1-0 deficit in their favor, he'll be pushing to make things happen on the attacking end while keeping Chelsea in check at the same time. He brings good upside from both directions, and he's reasonably priced on a short slate.

Alphonso Davies, BAY vs. LAZ (€15): Davies continues to contribute on both ends despite his slight returns this season. His depressed price reflects his lack of production, but that presents a perfect opportunity to pounce on him at a discount to cram added firepower into your lineup.

GOALKEEPER

Jan Oblak, ATM at CHE (€13): Oblak and Atletico are well within striking distance of Chelsea heading into the second leg. If they're to turn around the 1-0 deficit they'll lean on Oblak to keep the Blues at bay, and as the cheapest of the four goalkeepers on the slate, he makes for a strong salary saver in what is expected to be a highly contested match.
